Setting up Cratewear
Please keep in mind that there are no standard dog kennel
sizes. Our bedding has been designed to accommodate the majority of
crates. For the best fit:
- Place the bumper in the crate first. Start by attaching the Velcro
at the back corners of the crate and work your way forward. Depending
on the size of your crate, the bumper may or may not come all the way
to the front edge.
- Next, place the mattress in the crate.
- Now you're ready to put on the crate cover. All seams should
be in the back of the crate not on the top. Crate covers provide
privacy and security dogs appreciate.
- The x-small crates vary in size from 19” to 22” in length.
To accommodate this, our x-small covers have been lightly stitched at
19”. If your crate is 22” simply remove the stitching on the inside
seam.
- In some cases, it may be best to start only with the cover
until your puppy is ready for his bedding. Veterinarians and trainers
suggest your dog should be supervised while in his crate. If you see
him chewing his bedding, promptly remove it and wait until he's over
the teething stage. The comfy mattress and bumper will be a great
reward for him later as he succeeds in housetraining!

machine washable. Use cold water and tumble dry on low heat. Do Not
Bleach.
Traditional Gusset Beds have removable covers that can be washed in cold water and tumble dry on low heat. Important: Some care labels in late-2003 were misprinted. Please follow these care instructions.
Please Note:
Older Cratewear mattresses contain “egg crate” foam, which is not
washable. Remove the foam from the opening on the back of the mattress
and wash the mattress cover only. The foam can be spot cleaned. All
other pieces are fully machine washable.
